Our Cuisine

Taiwanese cuisine draws its primary influences from the culinary traditions of southeastern China, particularly Fujian province. However, after World War II, significant migration to Taiwan brought diverse Chinese cuisines, including those from Guangdong, Chaoshan, Shanghai, Sichuan, and Beijing. Additionally, Japan's governance of Taiwan for nearly five decades during the 20th century left a lasting imprint on Taiwanese culinary practices, resulting in a rich tapestry of Japanese influences that continue to shape Taiwanese cuisine today.
